Marriage Brings Us Together Today - Leadership SHIFT Tip
On Friday I was at the airport and heading off to a wedding in Dubuque, Iowa. Things were going great until...
Well, let's just say that Robert Burns was correct when he wrote that the best-laid plans of mice and men, although he forgot La Guardia passengers, often go astray.
It was clearly a P.B.R. (Pause, Breathe, and Reflect) moment, I began to wonder if the universe was trying to give me a sign. I was about to follow my intuition, bag the trip, and head home.
But after texting my friend, I realized that I should be following my heart and not my gut.
Sometimes our gut isn't our best guide - especially when it's upset after eating a bad tomato, mozzarella, and pesto wrap, just as an example, of course.
That's why the best leaders, like my friend John, have the agility to recruit their mind, body, and soul to help them navigate their journey.
Congratulations John and Lauren! It was a beautiful wedding. And thank you to American Airlines for helping me get to Iowa. Now, we just have to do something about that deli in Terminal D.
Have Fun Storming the Castle!
p.s - Last week I was interviewed by Innervoice.Life. You can read the article and discover how my mom reacted when she found me shaving my legs.
