How to Have a Great 4th of July - Leadership SHIFT Tip
Back in my executive days, I would send a voicemail to my team before every holiday break. It was 1/2 thank you, 1/2 have fun with your family and friends, and the third half of the message was an invitation to grab a few P.B.R. moments - for our new peloton members, I wasn't talking about Pabst Blue Ribbons.
In our busy being busy grind, we rarely pause, breathe, and reflect on our relationship with work and life, and I wanted to give my team the emotional permission to take stock of their mental, physical, relationship, spiritual, and financial happiness to help them achieve complete success.
So as we approach July 4th, I want to thank you for being part of our peloton and making a difference in the world. I hope you fill this week with laughter, friends, family, and a few moments of P.B.R. It's one way to have a great 4th of July.
Until Thursday, have fun storming the castle!
As a subscriber to Shift Tips, you know that July is an important month in my life - besides July 4th, we have the Tour de France, my first date with my wife anniversary, and, of course, my last bad day festivities.
As of today, there have been 6,199 days since my last bad one. To celebrate, I do something special on or near July 11th each year. For example, last year I released my memoir, Shift: Creating Better Tomorrows.
This year I'm launching my new membership academy called The Pace Line onJuly 18th. It's something that I wish I had when I was a healthcare sales and marketing manager and director. It's filled with fantastic curated resources, guidance, and coaching to help sales, marketing, and advertising managers and directors achieve complete success.
One of the beta-testers told me, "It's like Blue Apron for your career and life." It's the secret sauce that will make what your manager and company provide even better.
To celebrate the launch and the anniversary of my LBD, I'm giving Shift Tipsubscribers and their peeps a chance to secure a 30% discount promo code by signing up for the waiting list. But, like everything, including our breath, it's doesn't last forever. Next week, the promo code drops 20%.
