Shift Tip: Discovering Your Sense of Wa

Find Your Wa

If given a choice, which would you choose, work or life?

Many during our current kerfuffle picked work as they converted their commute into video conferences. They stopped seeing their families and friends while accepting that they would not stop grinding. They stopped going out, but they didn’t stop hamster wheeling. They even stopped going into the office, but they did not stop working.

We put to bed the corporate belief that we couldn’t work from home as we brought more work to bed by falling asleep and waking up with our phones.

Work-life balance? Ha.

As we sit on the cusp of returning to the office, it is an excellent time to think about what it means to live in harmony and as human beings rather than human doers.

Too often, we play the short game without making the necessary changes to win the long game. It’s how we’ve played the last year and change, and as a result, we see the cracks of burnout like emotional and physical fatigue, mistakes, and turnover. It doesn’t need to be this way.

In this week’s video, I share my thoughts on work-life balance and one thing we can all do to find more harmony, long-term fulfillment, and Wa.

Another way to find more harmony is to join our global Clubhouse community for our five-minute Pause Breathe Reflect moments.

Here is what folks are saying:

“I wanted to share how the energy of the room is wonderful. It’s an amazing community, and together there is a real vibration. I feel it halfway around the world in Australia.”

“It’s one of the best things about my morning.”

“This is the best way for me to manage my stress.”

Another option is to find us on Insight Timer. They welcomed Pause Breathe Reflect last week, and I would appreciate any following and five-star ratings to help receive approval for live meditations on the app.

Until next week, remember to Pause Breathe Reflect and have fun storming the castle.
