Shift Tip: The Day After...

The Day After… | September 11 20th Anniversary

The day after…

a great first date

you kiss and make-up

your wedding

the birth of a child

you make a commitment

you stumble and fall

the conference is over

you reach the summit

you get promoted

you get fired

your last bad day

the unexpected happens

I like to say that we create our lives in the moments between the moments. Yes, we naturally over-index our big moments, but it’s what we do next that determines our ripple in life.

On September 12, 2001, we were frightened, shocked, confused, angry, and the list could go on and on.

And we came together. That’s what we did next.

We tend to forget the kerfuffle known as the 2000 election. As a country, it wasn’t awesome sauce. We ran to our corners and began shouting at each other, and then on September 12th, we started to hear, see, and love each other again. And the world joined us.

This week’s video is about what we can do today, tomorrow, and the day after now that we’ve recognized the 20th anniversary of 9-11. Right now, we are living through a moment that will influence all our future moments. And we get to decide what happens next.

Look out for a rare mid-week email announcing our new One Ripple Challenge. It’s a perfect way to ripple gratitude, kindness, and wellness, which are three things that we need today and the day after.

Until then, remember to Pause Breathe Reflect during your challenging moments. You’ve got this. We’ve got you.

And don’t forget to have fun storming the castle!
