How much time did you spend on your health last week?
I’ll give you a moment to scan your calendar.

There’s no magic number, but hopefully, it’s in proportion to everything else in your life because, as the photo says, If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness.”
Early in my career, I took my health for granted. Yes, I got my runs and rides in, but beyond that, my wellness routine was nothing to write home about.
I told myself that I had too much to do at work and if I didn’t do it, who would? They certainly couldn’t do it like me. Plus, I never got sick or hurt; it was always someone else. Oh, and emotional and mental wellness, that wasn’t on my radar.
Then I had my moment.
I discovered how quickly your ego lets go of its “If I don’t do the work, who will?” narrative. When you get sick or injured, it doesn’t matter anymore because you would trade almost anything to get your health back. I realized, the hard way, that we only have moments to live.
The question is, how do you wish to be in your moments?
Hopefully, part of your answer is healthy – especially given the last thirteen months.

As I’ve shared, I’m riding my bike across the U.S.A. this summer to celebrate twenty years since my moment. Unfortunately, my left knee is no bueno right now, but I’ve received treatment. Yay!
I’m hopeful that it will work, but if it doesn’t, then we will pause our Pause Breathe Reflect Tour until next year and get my knee replaced this year.
Either way, it’s a win, but I could use your good juju this week as we approach our go/no-go decision date.
